As budgets tighten around the United States, state governments are struggling to figure out how they can save money and shrink their deficits. It’s a tough battle as nobody wants taxes increased during a bad economy, but at the same time, nobody wants programs cut. Placed in this situation, it’s strange to see education receiving so many cuts.

Hillary Clinton, the current Secretary of State, commented at a recent speech she was giving that it was not good that some Americans make so much money. It seemed strange and out of place why she was discussing how much money Americans make relative to her capacity as Secretary of State. One would have thought, and hoped, that she would be focused on a few other things including: – An impending war between North and South Korea.
