The Kashmir Issue – Can There Be a Solution?

Kashmir is a predominant Muslim populated state which was ruled by a Hindu Maharajah. This state was given as gift by the British to the erstwhile Prime Minister of Maharajah Ranjit Singh for betraying the Khalsa Army during the Anglo-Sikh wars. After the lapse of British rule in 1947 the then Maraca of Kashmir Hari Singh decided to remain independent.

We have had numerous leaders in our country and different to the USA it is possible for a party to re-elect their leader in the midst of a term in office and this morning the 24th of June the Australian Labor party ditched their leader and had a new lady take office. Kevin Rudd who led Australia for two and a half years was famous for his apology to the Australian indigenous population of Australia, with a day of national reconciliation early in his elected term.
