The current White House Administration has let the political machine ignore the severity of the Gulf Oil Spill. With multiple offers of assistance from foreign countries and companies, their refusal of help has added to the disaster in the gulf. Politics are getting in the way of helping those who live and work in the gulf states.

Obama Appoints New Oil Industry Watchdog in Oval Office Speech

President Obama’s first Oval Office speech focused around the epidemic that is the Gulf Coast oil spill. Among his promises that BP would “pay for damages their company has cost,” he also appointed ex-prosecutor for the FBI Michael Bromwich as director of the Minerals Management Service.
