Americans need to remember what our forgotten legacy really means; Liberty, Justice, God and Freedom. Americans need to wake up the political parties and the politicians and make them understand that we are tired of their Blame Game and their dishonor.

Was it that long ago that America fought for its independence and freedom? Yeah; it’s been a little over 200 years and apparently it has been long enough for a lot of people to forget how valuable freedom is. Most American citizens do not know what it is like to live in a country that is not free and maybe that’s part of the problem. Many of us have truly begun to take our liberties for granted.

I have come to understand the saying that a good test of a person’s character is his behaviour when he is wrong. Nigeria is among the nations that breathed the air of freedom in October 1st 1960 from the colonial masters. Nigeria’s independence was greeted with mixed feelings by the stakeholders themselves. Some sections of the country were so afraid of being marginalized by others in the sharing of the national cake. In order to make everybody feel belonged, the Federal Government then assumed the role of a Father-Christmas, distributing its resources amongst the various States, many of whom contribute little or nothing to the baking of the cake.
